SEL-3021 Serial Encrypting Transceivers
SEL is the leader in serial encryption and secure serial-port communications. The SEL-3021 transceivers are a bump-in-the-wire solution for nearly any serial-data communications link, including SCADA and engineering access applications. The SEL-3021 transceivers support DNP3 and Modbus® RTU, and can be set to support other custom protocols. Apply SEL serial encrypting transceivers to modems, and turn normal modems into cryptomodems.
SEL offers the 3021-1 and the 3021-2 for your serial encryption needs. The 3021-1 is ideal for applications that require low latency (e.g., links for electrical teleprotection), while the 3021-2 is suited for applications where authenticity of each received command is critical.

SEL-3022 Wireless Encrypting Transceiver
Use wireless encryption for point-to-point connections in situations where communication is required, but pulling cable is not cost effective or practical. Or, for engineering access, avoid exposing personnel to hazardous conditions by enabling them to control and monitor equipment from their trucks or other safe locations with wireless encryption. Keep enclosure and control house doors shut to protect equipment from weather and contaminants. Use the SEL-3022 and the 802.11b wireless interface in your laptop or handheld PC, along with SEL software, to add encryption without changing the applications or communications programs.
